Description - Description: The "Large Meer" system, located in the Dutch side of the Grenspark, is struggling with high phosphate concentrations in the water. This influences the water quality and ecology of this vensing system and counteracts the maintenance of t he Natura2000 Habitat 3130 ("Food -poor to moderately food -poor waters with dry banks"). This eutrophication comes from the inflow of nutrient -rich water from the Steertse Heide, a former agricultural area where there is currently 29 ha (out of 130) in agricultural use.
